She was born March 16th 1948, in Fayetteville, WV to Arthur and Ruby Scott. Ruthie graduated from Guilford High School with the Class of 1966. She was a homemaker and her hobbies included crocheting, quilting and collecting angels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Frank Scott; and sister, Brenda Scott Freeman.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Godfrey (Ken) of Cecilia , Kentucky and her son, Brite Peterson of O’Brien, Florida; four grandchildren; two nephews, Dean Scott and Art Freeman both of Greensboro.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
