Sam James Seawell, 77, a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Greensboro passed away at the Franklin House in Franklin. Sam was born April 19, 1938 in Greensboro the son of Robeson and Julie Seawell.
Sam was employed with Piedmont Ford in Greensboro for over 20 years where he was a Master Mechanic..
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Seawell, daughter, Vickie Corbett and husband Dale; son, Sam James Seawell Jr. and wife Tina; grandchildren, Bryan Hale, Mark Hale, Aaron McMahon, Jennifer Parker, Adam Parker, Jamie Seawell, Amy Seawell; sister, Louise Smith and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro conducted by the Reverend Bob Smith. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
