Sarah Wildman Houck

Sarah Elizabeth Wildman Houck, 60, of Greensboro was granted peace from her long and courageous battle with cancer on May 27, 2018. She took joy in the simple things in life and always enjoyed the little moments many often take for granted. Sarah loved planting in her flower beds, playing golf, vacations to the beach, dancing and playing with her grandchildren and any excuse to spend time with her friends and family.

Sarah was born in Plymouth, NC on March 18, 1958 to Sarah Ann Bowen and James Cecil Wildman. Sarah was the eldest of three children and grew up very close to her brother, J.C. Wildman and sister, Donna Revels. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1976, and a few years later, moved to Virginia Beach, VA. There she met Rick Houck, the love of her life. Rick and Sarah were married March 22, 1980, just after her 22nd birthday and they eventually settled in Greensboro, NC.

Over the years, Sarah shared her passion and love for life with everyone she could. She was a dedicated and supportive wife, loving mom and caring friend. Sarah's love for her children, Thomas Wildman and Alison Houck Lamb, was evident in everything she did, and her grandchildren were her life's greatest reward. Sarah found pleasure in helping others and she impacted many lives with her generosity. Sarah will be deeply missed by countless friends and family, and the world will be a little less bright without her.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at five o'clock on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 1900 Vanstory Street, Greensboro, NC 27403. Dress comfortably!
