

Sarah “Margreat” Maynard, age 79, of Lawrenceville, GA formerly of Greensboro, NC entered into rest on September 14, 2010. She is survived by her five devoted children; Glenda F. Crawford and her husband Art Fuller of Snellville, GA, Iris Campbell and her husband Darrell of Lawrenceville, GA, Sarah M. York and her husband David, Debbie M. Boyd and her husband Frank all of Greensboro, NC, Ray Maynard and his wife Tracie of Inverness, FL; sister, Lucille Chavis and her husband Ray; twin brother, Buddy Pierce, and brother, Curtis Pierce all of Pembroke, NC; three aunts, Lizzie Lowry of Pembroke, NC, Evelyn Burnett of Red Springs, NC, and Fannie “Bill” Locklear of Maxton, NC; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and dear friends, Bill and Judy Montgomery, Buddy and Barbara Brooks.
Margreat Maynard was born in Southern Pines, NC on September 17, 1930 to Annie Jane Chavis Pierce and Eulas Samson Pierce. She was a high school graduate and worked most of her life as a Caregiver taking care of the elderly. In her free time she enjoyed doing word-search crosswords puzzles, drawing various types of birds, and watching the Atlanta Braves. She also was known for loving to go shopping, especially at Dillard’s. Margreat’s greatest joy in life was her loving family.
The Service Celebrating the Life of Sarah “Margreat” Maynard will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Dayspring Christian Church, 1941 Vanstory St., Greensboro, NC 27403 with Pastor Phil Collins officiating. Interment Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 o’clock until the hour of the service at the church. Flowers are accepted, but those desiring may make donations to Embracing HospiceCare, 2160 Fountain Drive, Snellville, GA 30078 in memory of Sarah “Margreat” Maynard.
