The harsh reality that I’ve not wanted to accept, is that you’re no longer here. 

Over the past 5 years I’ve gotten the pleasure to build one hell of a bond, and perhaps create one of the best friendships of my life with you. There was never a dull moment when we worked together, our days were typically filled with laughter and smiles. Our relationship was iconic, and so were our arguments. I have never seen anyone get SO excited to irritate or fret me, more than you and i’m so glad that brought you a huge wave of excitement…. every single day.🙄 Despite how big or little our falling outs would be, we bounced right back every single time, probably without a “sorry” 98% of the time considering neither of us have that word in our vocabulary. 

The conversations, advice, wisdom, knowledge and support I received from you, all of it was genuine and I will hold all of that as close as I possibly can. My favorite conversations, were always the ones where we talked about our kids and I always told you that “The best and worst part of being a parent is watching them grow up” and now, I don’t get to share any “growing up stories” with you. 

The kindness you had for everyone never went unnoticed. The team, the customers, hell even our bosses, loved you. To know you, was to love you. You’re definitely an unforgettable person, that leaves an impact.

To know that in July, I’ll forever want to skip over the 27th & 28th- bc what is my birthday without yours? 

Thank you for caring, loving and being the best gift giver to Greylyn and Zoey. They adored their Uncle Sean, I know they’ll look forward to playing cars and dancing around with you again, one day. 

I promise to do right by you for your team, I’ll take care of them. I am so thankful to have known you. Thank you, Sean for being my person- while I was your favorite pain in the ass.

Today we lay to rest a wonderful soul. This one really hurts different. What they say about him is so true. We have shared lots of experiences, including him as a little boy to help encourage me with my own battles with my own son. Parental experiences and conversations about discipline. I now just have to think, what would Sean say about this situation? What words of encouragement would he have for me? What scriptures would he point me to? Sean you will forever be cherished in my heart and I’m so broken I didn’t get more time with you. I’m beyond grateful for the support and encouragement you’ve given me. I would not be where I am or WHO I am today if it wasn’t for your kindness and understanding. And your recognition of my hard work and how far I’ve come is what’s going to keep me going. I can’t and won’t stop now. Thank you thank you thank you 🥺 Rest in peace 💔

This one hurts so much and I've truly been struggling with words to say. I had the absolute pleasure of having Sean as a boss for 5 years minus the brief time I transferred but I came back & I'm so glad I did. Not only was he my boss, he was like another father figure in my life. From day one, I noticed he'd do anything for anyone & would quite literally give the shirt off of his back to someone in need. I went through some of my greatest losses and trials while working for him & he was nothing short of amazing through it all. When mom died, he took me under his wing and made sure I was always taken care of, always reminded me how proud mom is of me and that she's looking down on me smiling. I can only imagine everything he's telling her I've accomplished since she's been gone. Going to work without him here physically will always be hard but he'll always be in our hearts. Our CVS store is truly a close knit family & we always will be. While my heart aches and is completely shattered, I know I will see him again one day. 

Sean, thank you for everything you did for me and always being one of my biggest cheerleaders & encouragers. I truly wouldn't be where I'm at today without God putting you in my life & I will forever be thankful for that. 

I pray that God will give his wife & 3 kids the strength that's needed to get through this difficult time & season in their life.

Chris brought so much joy in Sean's life from the very beginning even back in high school. It was love at first sight it seemed for them. I remember gatherings like this and going over Sean's house to play video games and go ice skating or even impromptu bible studies with close high school friends.

This is exactly how I remember Sean... always smiling just like in this picture with his friends in high school. Sean was so intelligent in school and funny. He was friends with everyone and that's what made him so special. He never had a mean bone in his body and it's rare to see that quality in someone throughout life with everyone you meet and make friends.

You only have one best friend as a kid, and Sean was mine. I remember Sean and I were both singled out perhaps in first grade as being smart (along with Mario Fusco). According to my mom, I told her I thought Sean was from Africa!

I have many memories of hanging out as Sean’s house on Freedom Rd. He had a ton of toys! Him showing me a really tall tree in his woods. Playing computer games, and Nintendo. Watching WWF wrestling, and practicing the moves. Sean was more adventurous than I was, more talkative, more creative, and funnier. He was a talented artist, and I still remember his caricatures and drawing of Voltron.

Later, tennis, tennis, and more tennis. Goofing off in physics until we got terrible quiz scores, then buckling down. Designing a game with him in Mr. Bass’s history class, getting a comment of “uninspired”, and redoing the assignment (Sean masterminded a 3-D board game) and getting a A and an “inspired” comment.

Although I didn’t really know Sean in adulthood, I’m glad to have been his friend and will honor him in my small way by letting my mind drift back over those happy memories.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My sincere condolences to Sean's family.  He was truly a great person and pharmacist at CVS in Reidsville, NC.  He was my Special Pharmacist, and I will truly miss him.  I hope that the family realizes what a great person he was.  He always kept me informed on whether I had an injection coming up or medications needing refills.
He was a man who cared about every person's prescription that needed refills.  When I heard of Sean's passing, I thought someone was lying because this was not happening.  It was real, and I thought about his family, and how they have lost a wonderful husband, father, and best friend of the Reidsville, NC community.  No one can replace him, and I say, R.I.P., my friend, because you have done great work for others.  You will always be my friend and Pharmacist because you took care of my needs when I was in CVS.   To his family, Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.  Sean prepared for this journey a long time ago when he chose to be a pharmacist to help others.  Like Jesus walked this land to save others from the pain it holds, Sean saved his people from their pain by filling prescriptions and preparing injections for customers (patients) to pick up.  I was sad to hear of Sean's passing, but I know God has a bigger job for him after he gave him his peace and rest from his labor in this world. R.I.P. Sean. My prayers are with your family, and I know God will see them through the dark days.

I am so deeply saddened by this.  I've known Sean since before kindergarten.  I will always remember Sean as a bright light, with a gracious heart and willing to help his fellow brother/sister.  He wasn't only kind and practical, he was genuine, and so very smart.  Some memories I will always cherish are: Him explaining AP Chemistry to me in high-school (one of my hardest classes, but to Sean, it was second nature), playing tennis after graduation, wisdom he would impart when you went to him for advice (somehow he would make everything seem so much lighter and manageable), and his awesome ability to cook after he and a Chris got married (he made a mean kimchi and Korean beef).

   Sean seemed to master everything he put his mind to. I remember being in awe of how everything appeared so effortless to him.  And when he got something in his head, he was relentless.  Like pursuing Chris! I have said it before, and I'll say it again, God certainly gave him the desires of his heart when he married Chris and blessed them with such beautiful children. My heart goes out to the whole family, especially Chris, Brie, Shae and Tim.  May God give you strength, peace, and much comfort through this painful time.

Even through his death, Sean had taught me to live boldly, to love deeply, and to not sweat the small stuff. For this, and so much more, I will be forever thankful. His friendship and his life have meant so much to me.  Rest in peace with our Savior, my friend Sean, and please give my parents a warm hug for me when you see them.

Our family here in North Carolina and in Connecticut are sending our prayers for the Sullivans family's comfort at this sad time. May Sean's memory be for a blessing to all who knew him. We've been remembering all the gatherings we had in Connecticut sharing in delicious Korean food and the friendships between our families over the years.

During what was one of the most difficult times in my life Sean was easily the most genuine and caring person in my world.   He always managed to make me feel both cared for and like a friend who’s being appreciated.. I haven’t forgotten the difference he could make on my week, and I cherish his memory.  He is gone way too soon.  And you are all in my prayers.

I'm so sorry. I was shocked to hear the news of Sean's passing and am still trying to process it.

So many memories from back in the day. Bowling and pizza. His mom's memorable persona. Talking about videogames. His artistic talents and the flipbook animations he made. Feeling honored that he caricatured me in his yearbook cartoon, among other classmates. His way of never putting less than 100% into his enthusiasms. His copying of Andre Agassi's look (little did he know that Andre's evolving hairstyle would continue to follow him through life). His particular mix of cockiness and self-deprecating humor, of class clown antics and sensitive introspection. His being one of several people whose friendship brightened my life during the dark days after my brother's death. His patience with some of my more annoying behavior at that time. Not being sure whether to be amused or intimidated by his sudden bursts of martial arts moves. Our brief romantic rivalry at age 18 or 19 for the attention of Chris, and our commiserating over both being turned down -- as well as being glad for him a decade later that he'd finally gotten together with the person who had held such a place in his heart. Some wide-ranging arguments about politics and religion, the reminder that you can totally diverge from someone else's worldview but still know that they're a good person inside. Though our last meaningful conversation in life was an episode of sparring on the internet, over fundamentally unresolvable questions about order versus randomness, it was an amicable one. Though no one changed anyone's mind, after we'd fired our intellectual artillery at each other's trenches, the fact that he used Batman as a metaphor, in classic Sean fashion, made me miss the guy.

From what other high school classmates have said over the last day or so, what seems to stand out most in people's memories was Sean's kindness. I agree and I know that he'll be deeply missed by so many.
