He passed away peacefully on November 28th in Greensboro NC where he las lived near family for the past three years. Sy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donnamay, stepson David Glenn (Mie) and stepdaughter Shauna Stoll (Bill). He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Sy joined the Army and served active duty for six years. He has continued to serve in the Reserves. After graduating from the University of Idaho School of Law, he practiced law in Twin Falls Idaho where he met his wife, Donnamay. He then practiced law in Jerome Idaho and has been an Idaho licensed attorney for 60 years. Sy also taught Graduate Level Law Courses for Troy University for over 10 years.
As a devoted fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, Sy would go to Dodger games as a child for 25 cents. He was also an avid reader, especially books about Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill, whom he admired. Swimming and playing cards were also a passion of his.
Sy and Donnamay moved to Tempe Az in 1977 where they hosted a Bed and Breakfast in their home for over ten years. Seymour was also a member of the Elks Club for many years. He was also a member of the Jewish Community in Green Valley AZ.
The family would especially like to thank all the loving caretakers from Amedisys Hospice for such great care for these past months.
