Sharon Greene Finch

Sharon Greene Finch, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 27, 1950, in Avery County, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Ballard Greene and Elizabeth Henley, who preceded her in death.

Sharon cherished the time spent with her family, especially during the holidays, cooking and preparing her deviled eggs and green bean casserole.She was loving, caring, thoughtful and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She always felt compelled to help. For example, she organized a collection of clothes for the needy in the Appalachians of West Virginia, and delivered them herself. She was a youth leader, taught children's church and loved being involved in the children's programs. She shared her love of music with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Finch of 57 years and their three children: sons Donald Finch (Lisa) and David Finch (Tammy), and daughter Jennifer Showalter ( Gerron).. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy: Brian Finch, Brandon Finch, Seth Finch (Zoe), Leraine Finch, Emma Showalter, and Henley Showalter.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, 2:00 pm at Community Fellowship, 5204 Hilltop Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Committal service will follow at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
