My merory of Shawn is mostly when he was young growing up we always lived around the corner from each other and Donna would send him to mommy's for something and he would be there an hour watching whatever was on T.V. before he would finally tell her what he came for. Seeing him Duane and Jason spending the night together after taking they're bath and putting on their tighty whiteys and T-shirts.lol knowing they were safe in bed. I always noticed how smart Shawn was by the way he spoke or how engaged he would be watching T.V. I wish we could go back 40 years and see him outside playing all dirty and sweaty. A innocent little boy with not a worry in the world. I will always have him in my heart. I love all our kids and I say kids even if they're grown because to me that's what they'll always be. Save a place for me Shawn until then I'll always keep you in my 💙. Love you 😭😭

Shawn and I have been friends since he was 10 years old. I respect him, the good hearted man he was, what he stood up for and stood up too. There will never be another like him. All the dancing, singing, just being friends with each other and laughing, I'll always remember. He always made you laugh, his laugh and smile was contagious. He did so much for me after my husband passed away 2years ago. He was friends with Mark and I both. He always said if I needed anything he would be there. He done alot for me and I'll forever cherish our friendship and memories. I will forever miss and love him. He was a blessing to me and still is too many people that cared and loved him.

Ryan was telling me the other night that he was “balling” at the ymca and he used all Shawn’s techniques he had taught him. He said he scored so many points in so little time. He said “Shawn was with me on that court” I believe it shawn is going to follow us and give us strength and help us be our best selves cuz that’s what he wanted. AMEN

My dear brother Shawn I miss you so much. Shawn you have a heart of gold, you would give the shirt off your back if someone needed it. Man the things I will miss with you is every year on my Birthday you would call me singing Conway Twitty Happy Birthday Darling. I am so glad I have the voice mail you tried to leave me 2 days before my Birthday and I told you, you better call me on my birthday. I'm so glad you got to travel with me on every duty station I went to because we had a blast and you got to see what Germany was like and Hawaii. I will never forget in Hawaii when the waves was just to much and the life guard had to save you in bring you back . Lol. I'm so blessed to share that with you. Shawn I know you and daddy are up there just talking it up and watching over us. You loved working with the kids on all thir sports you always wanted the best for them and show them how to be better. Shawn my heart hurts 💔 so much because I can't hear you or hug you hear your laugh or even hit us with your left arm playing around. Shawn you always believed in God you always told me let God take your pain away I 🙏 that every day. But this one is hard 7 months ago I was praying that to heal me with daddy now you. I'm trying to keep myself strong so I can take care of mommy like I told you I would. I LOVE YOU SHAWN you rest now no more pain left in your body. Fly high in the sky, my angle until we meet again in heaven.

To my go-to unky, my unky I’ll never forget, Shawn. You were a one of a kind. You were the light at every family gathering. Whether or not mawmaw or pawpaw were yelling at you to shush or sit down because you were dancing, Ryan and I looked at each other and could barely keep our laughs quiet. You loved harder than anyone I know, you cared so deeply and most importantly loved LIFE so dang much. Your intelligence is envied by so many. I’ll sure miss all the lectures, all the speeches. But I’ll do my best to carry on your outlook on life, your positivity, your brilliance. Maybe one day I’ll be that smart doc you always told me I could be. Until then, I love you more than you know and I’ll miss the heck out out of you my unky. Fly so high and don’t let pawpaw be that hard on you lol
