Shirley Ann Craven was one of nine to Alphonso Craven Sr. and Jessie Lee Craven. She was born and raised in Siler City, NC. Shirley was educated in the Chatham County school system. Early in her adulthood, she relocated to Philadelphia, PA. She worked for many years as a CNA at Fairview Nursing Home.
Shirley married Richard Goldston. They later divorced and she met and married Kenneth Emory. She raised her 4 children Karen Ann Reed, Ricky (Willie) Goldston, Robin Stover, and Maria Brown.
Shirley loved cooking for her family , reading her bible, and spending time with her loved ones. She loved serving at church during Bible Study. She was also a faithful member of the Seasoned Saints ministry at Love and Faith.
She will be survived by her children, 1 sibling (Stephen Craven), 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, 3 sister in laws, and extended family and friends.
