

Shirley was born on November 11, 1935, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of William Earl Sr. and Pauline Sigmon Kincaid. While she was in high school, she met and fell in love with the love of her life Charles Ingram. They were married for 61 years and had three children.
She retired from Rose’s Department stores as office Manager after 35 years of service. She then took a part time job with Harris Teeter. The remainder of her time was spent with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren; taking to school, picking up after school, any special events they had to attend, and just simply loving on them. She was also a tremendous help to Charles, who had been diagnosed with COPD for 16 years. Shirley was a member of Reavis Memorial Baptist Church in High Point, now Crossover Community Church.
Shirley is survived by a brother, Ronnie Kincaid of Thomasville, NC, a sister, Mary Kincaid Spillers of Greensboro, NC; son, Frank Ingram and wife Susan of Greenville, NC, a daughter, Debbie Piper and husband Tony Piper of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Lesley Ingram, Megan Ingram Shafer and husband Chas, Sarah Ingram, Lauren and Justin Piper, Cortni Ward Hill and husband Jimmy, April Ward Farrar and husband Brian; great grandchildren, Austin, Colby, Davis, and Wyatt Hill, Chloe Hohn and Mason Farrar.
Preceded in death is her father and mother, William Earl Sr. and Pauline Sigmon Kincaid; husband, Charles Ingram; brothers, Walter, Jack, Joe, Jerry, William Earl Kincaid, Jr., sister, Irene Kincaid Bolling; daughter, Teresa Ingram Ward.
The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice Health for the care and kindness shown to Shirley, especially to her nurse’s aides, Laprina and Courtney and her Nurses, Amy and Courtney.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel with the Reverend Darryl R. Love officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
