

Stanley Howard Garber, Jr., passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and countless friendships. Born on December 16, 1965, in Guilford County, North Carolina, he was the son of Stanley Howard Garber, Sr. and Alice Imogene Nall Garber.
Stan dedicated his career to the environmental industry, where he worked as an Asbestos Specialist. He was respected for his knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to his work.
Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, Stan had a remarkable ability to make people laugh and feel at ease. His kindness, loyalty, and genuine friendship touched the lives of so many. He never met a stranger, and the friendships he built over the years became an extended family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his sister, Dana Kappus (Steve); and by so many dear friends as well as extended family that there simply is not enough room to name them all. A special thanks goes to Kathy Johnson (Joel), Rosemary Johnson (Nate Houran), Glenda Wilson (Barry), Steve Brugnoli, Sarah Colonna (Peter), Karen Brackett (Richard), and Emily Johnson (Matt Horvath).
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; three uncles; two aunts; and his beloved dogs, Sweetheart, Sadie, Bella, and Slugger.
A graveside service will be held in the Hebrew Cemetery of Greensboro at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal shelter of your choice or St. Jude.
Stan's laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering friendship will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His memory will continue to bring smiles to all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
