Stefan Toma

Stefan Toma, 84, beloved husband of 61 years to Natalia (nee Pora), father of Simona Wirtz (Carl), Stefan D. (deceased) (Florina), and grandfather of Teodora Toma, Alina Cronan (Wirtz) (Michael), Alexander, Nicolas and Eric Wirtz, brother-in-law of Emil and Viorica Pora, and Teofil (Nelu) and Elena Pora, Rodica Stroia and Ilie Stroia. Beloved Uncle to Emil Pora (Carmen) and Jennifer Kent (Pora) (Gene), Carmen and Cristina Pora, to Marius Fekete ( Sorina), Ilie Teodor Stroia( Maura) and Vasile T, Stroia ( Carmina), great uncle to Giulia, Carla, Teodora Stroia, Diana Fekete, Daniel Fekete and friend to many, passed away on January 14, 2022. Stefan emigrated from Romania to the United States in 1976, with his wife 2 children and extended family.

In Romania he will be missed by his sister Floarea Câmpean (Traian) , brother Virgil Toma (Letiția), nices Carmen Sara (Vilmos) , Adriana Câmpean, nephew Florin Câmpean (Roxana) ,great nephews and nieces Alexandru Sara, Cristian Câmpean, Mădălina Pop, Fam. Dumitru and many other extended family members.

Stefan retired from Anderson International Corporation and maintained the Edgewater Park Manor apartments for many years. He loved to hunt and fish on his land at “La Padure” and always expressed that God and family is most important. In his gratitude he will always say “God is Romanian” that is why he always has my back and has blessed me so.

A private viewing will be held in Greensboro, NC on Tuesday January 18, 2022 from 5-8 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home on 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC. Prayer service given by Fr. Anton Frunza at 6PM.

Friends may call on Friday, January 21, from 5 to 8pm at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home 23040 Center Ridge, Westlake, Ohio. A Saracusta Service will be held at 7:30pm.

Funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 22 at 1:00pm at St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral at 3256 Warren Road, Cleveland, Ohio. Internment at West Park Cemetery 3942 Ridge Road, Cleveland, Ohio. A luncheon will be served at St. Mary Cathedral Hall afterwards. All is invited.
