Steve was born on July 28, 1925 in Charlotte, NC, the son of Roland D. and Mary McCall Rogers. He served his country in the US Army during WW II. Following his service, he worked with Overnite Trucking until his retirement. He attended Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Mahaffey Rogers. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters; Sheila Starnes and husband Mark of Cornelius, NC and Lori Badenhop of Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Aaron Plaster and wife Amanda, Kristina Plaster, Jordan Badenhop; brother, William Rogers and sister, Mary Hope Hill.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, 11:30 a.m. at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
