

Sue passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2025, from pancreatic cancer. A native of Scotch Plains, NJ, Sue graduated with an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. Sue was a consumer market researcher for many years, followed by a career as a pharmaceutical sales representative for BMS. She was also a Realtor.
Sue lived in New Jersey, Arizona, Maine, and since 2000 in North Carolina. She married her husband, Steve, in 2009. Sue was very genuine, appreciative, dedicated, fun-loving, humble, and active - enjoying kayaking, jet skiing, lake swimming, snow skiing, and the gym. She also loved board games.
Sue loved her family and loved her many dogs - Venus, Bud, Rocky, Sammie, Hickory, and Roxie. She enjoyed many friends, especially her Mahjong girls - Denise May, Grace Vitola, and Ann Leitner, her lake friends, Pieter Bos and wife Kathy Fasbender, and her longtime friends, Monica Singer, Lisa Hall, and Carol Jones.
Sue is survived by her husband, Steve Sanders; stepdaughter, Emily Sanders Steczo (Andrew); stepson, Brian Sanders (Allie); grandchildren, Brooks, Lainey, and Drew Steczo; brother-in-law, Ted Sanders; and sister-in-law, Julie Sanders.
