Susan Atencio Savageau

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Kairos Community Church, 2317 Stanley Road Greensboro, NC 27407 with Rev. Brett Thompson officiating.

She was born July 1, 1963 in Manchester, New Hampshire to Robert and Carolyn “Kay” Savageau. She worked at American Express for more than twenty years and received awards for “Top Performer” and was a member of Six Sigma. Susan was a graduate of Dudley High School, GTCC and received a degree in Criminal Justice from Guilford College. She attended Kairos Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Atencio. She is survived by her parents; sisters, Debbie Partrick and husband Stephen of Lawrenceville, GA and Sandra Savageau and husband Art Castillero of Greensboro; nieces, Katie and Charlotte Partrick and Emily Snell; mother-in-law Judy Atencio; and her beloved pets, Sam, Ruby and Rosie.

Susan’s passion was animal rights and rescue. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Guilford County Animal Shelter, 4525 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27409 in Susan’s memory.
