Timothy Wayne Powell

Timothy Wayne Powell, 65, of Pelham, North Carolina, passed peacefully on February 5, 2026 and is at rest in the arms of Jesus. Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Vance Powell and Phyllis Ann Powell. He is survived by his daughter, Amber Lewis (Jessie); his son, Nathaniel Powell (Carolina); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Everette, and Elliott Lewis; his brothers, Glenn Powell, Jimmie Powell Jr., and Anthony Powell (Debbie); his sister, Kimberly McIntosh; and eight nieces and nephews.

Timothy was many things. A focused and determined man, a hard worker, a dependable friend, devoted neighbor, curious explorer, patient fisherman, a Jack-of-all-trades, and even a farmer in his "free time".

Known affectionately as "Timmy" to his family, Timothy had a deep passion for fishing. He could often be found on any pier, though he especially cherished time at the beach. His fishing poles traveled with him everywhere—even on work trips. He particularly looked forward to hurricane season, as it brought him to new shores and exciting fishing spots across different coastlines.

Timothy was admired for his strong work ethic and remarkable versatility. He spent seven years with Blue Sky Restoration Services, working as a restoration technician and later as a CAT supervisor. He was also a skilled landscaper, fence builder, and all-around handyman. For many years, he worked with Old Dominion Freight Line, first loading trucks and later driving them up and down the East Coast.

Above all, Timothy was a kind-hearted, empathetic, and generous soul who brought light wherever he went. If a friend or loved one was in need, he would drop everything to help—no matter the time or circumstance. His selflessness touched many lives.

Though his family will miss him deeply, they find comfort in the promise of reuniting with him one day in Heaven.

A memorial service to celebrate Timothy's life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, located in Pleasant Garden, North Carolina.
