Townes W. Banner

The graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Green Hill Cemetery in Greensboro.

Townes was born January 12, 1950 in Greensboro to Susannah W. Wine and William B. Wine. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Alberty and Carolyn Banner, granddaughter Braden Banner, sister Susan W. Holt, nephews William Holt, Graham Holt and Gray Wine, and niece Susannah Wine.

Townes was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with friends and family, lived to laugh and never met a stranger.

The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the Moses Cone ICU staff for her exceptional care.

The family will receive friends graveside following the service on June 11.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 202 Centerport Dr., Greensboro, NC 27409 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
