Vaughn was born January 10, 1952 to Raymond W. Whitesell and Eldora (Whitesell) Anderson in Kankakee, Illinois.
A graveside service will held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Guilford Memorial Park.
Vaughn was with Harris Teeter for twenty-one years and Home Depot for five plus years. He was a life long bowler with many accomplishments including multiple 300 games. He enjoyed golf and fishing as well as his Wii.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond W. Whitesell and stepfather Laverne Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, of over 31 years, Beth Abrassart Whitesell of the home, three children, Danielle Bowen and husband Chris, Chad Whitesell and wife Angela, Candice Hill and husband Joe, 11 grandchildren, mother, Eldora Anderson of St. Anne, IL, two sisters, Nancy Barrett and husband Bill of Pittwood, IL, and Karen Fleischmann of Villa Ridge, MO, and a brother Mark Whitesell and wife Shelia, of Union, MO.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
