Vinko Iveljic

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Vinko Iveljic, who entered into eternal rest on August 4, 2026, at the age of 65.

Vinko was born on September 2, 1960, in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He built a life centered on faith, friendship, hard work, dedication, and, above all, love for his family. He worked as an electrician for Adams Electric, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. But Vinko’s greatest accomplishment and greatest source of pride was always his family.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Elza, and a loving father to his sons, Ivan and Dragan. He welcomed his daughters-in-law, Vanja, wife of Ivan, and Claudia, wife of Dragan, into his heart and family.

Vinko was especially proud to be Dido to his four grandchildren, Ella, Valentina, Nora, and Karlo. They brought tremendous happiness to his life, and the love he had for them will remain with them always. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Bozana and Smiljana, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Vinko treasured time spent surrounded by family and friends. Whether gathered around the table, celebrating holidays and traditions, sharing stories and laughter, or simply enjoying time together, those moments meant everything to him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family.

As we mourn his passing, we also give thanks to God for the 65 years we were blessed to have Vinko in our lives. We pray that he has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord, where there is no more suffering and where we hope to one day meet again.

His legacy will live on in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 pm, on Monday August 10, 2026, Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Visitation will be 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.Committal will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
