Mrs. Virginia Dare Archer

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Archer was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. She enjoyed gardening and loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burke and Stella Davis Mitchell, her husband, John W. “Bill” Archer, Sr., brothers, Bill and Burke Mitchell and sisters, Marie Baxter and Betty John Schopp.

Mrs. Archer is survived by her son, Bill Archer and wife, Linda of Pleasant Garden, their daughters, Ashley Perkins (Brad) and children; Chloe and Emma, Kelli Andrews (Jonathan) and children; Addie, Carter and Collins, daughter, Marie Petree and husband, Bob of Longs, SC their daughter, Monica Dare Berkley (Dean) and their children; Amber and Hunter; son, Larry Archer and wife, Sue of Greensboro and their children, Katie and Laura.

The family extends their heartfelt acknowledgements to the staff of Morningview for their loving care.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
