Vivian Lucille Franklin

She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Nellie Wallin Franklin of Madison County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Franklin; her sisters, June Franklin, Irene Kimble, Mary Jo Ramsey; a great great-granddaughter, Skylar and beloved fur-babies, Prince and Chipper.

She was a graduate of Laurel High School and was a lettered basketball player. Vivian enjoyed working with crafts, flower gardening, bluebird watching, and cheering for her favorite basketball team. She was employed with Sears Mail Order at Lawndale for 8 years, where she was a member of the Century Club. She later transferred to Sears Credit Center where she retired after 10 years of service as a Fraud Investigator.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Payne, Gina Garrett (Michael) and Clinette Naret; three grandchildren, Kitzi Yontz (Tommy), Michelle Koller (Shawn) and Heather Walters (Braye); eight great-grandchildren, Chris (Kaitlynn), Cody (Brittany), Austin (fiancé, Zane D.), Jamie, Zane P., Mya, Gwen, Ella; and five great-great grandchildren, Jadalynn, Lily, TJ, Bodhi, and Blakely.

Funeral services will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home at 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, on September 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Following the chapel service, she will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
