Wanda, 63, of Kernersville, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, February 9, 2024. Wanda was the loving wife of Michael K. Hobson. She was born on November 9, in Lynchburg, VA to Tom and Esther Tomlin.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Melissa Hobson Proco (husband Chris) and Melinda Hobson-Wall (husband Jason) of High Point; three grandchildren, Chloe, Jaxon and Eli; three sisters, Theresa T. Penland of Concord, Kathy Tomlin Harrison of Kernersville, and Tammy Tomlin Still of Walkertown; brother, Tommy L. Tomlin of Colfax; along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Wanda worked for Champion Industries in the office for 40 years. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. She also enjoyed riding horses, camping, cooking, and sewing. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, 530 Dobson Street, Kernersville, NC, with Pastor Daniel Hawtree and Youth Pastor Chris Tomlin officiating.
