Baby girl Whitney Lynn. You got my middle name and I got a second niece! You were light and dark, somber and dazzling, headstrong and determined, but you gave up your fight without us. That leaves us to ponder, grind our teeth, and cry. You were loved but often left us perplexed. We got Des, but every once and a while send us a rainbow or wink so we know you are watching over her! Love you!

I remember Whitney as a little girl who was lively, smart, and curious. Listening to her and my daughter Sara who is of similar age talking about what little girls talk about while giggling is still one of my favorite memories of her. My heart goes out to Karen, Ted, her siblings and her children. As a father, I mourn deeply with you at this time of sorrow. Celebrate Whitney’s life through the eyes of little girls who are looking at the world and giggling. May God give you comfort and much love to you. Aaron
