William R. Becker

A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Bill was born in Linton, North Dakota to the late Hubert and Florence Feyerrisen Becker. He was an Altar Boy and attended St. Anthony’s Parochial School. After graduation he joined the US Army and was stationed in Fayetteville, NC with the 82nd Airborne Division. After completing his service he was married and moved to Greensboro. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He joined the Guilford County Sherriff Department where he retired after thirty years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Calvin Becker. Bill is survived by his wife Brenda Becker; children Ronald Becker and wife Sherry and Michael Becker and wife Angie all of Greensboro; grandchildren Haley, Amanda and Christopher; brothers Russell Becker, and Robert Becker; sisters Kathy Mossett, Suzanne Robinson, Janice Burgad, and Donna Forderer.

Family visitation will be held from 1:30 – 2:00 pm, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Alzheimers Association Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte NC 28215 in Bill's memory.
