

Anell “Franceile” Gorbett, 84, of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Heritage House Nursing Home. Franceile was born on October 7, 1930 in Rush County, the daughter of Jack and Pauline (Piper) Osterling. Franceile was a 1948 graduate of the Milroy High School. On October 9, 1949, she married Paul R. Gorbett in Milroy and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2009.
Franceile worked as a Clerk at Minears, at a clothing retail office in Indianapolis and also worked in the kitchen at Jerman School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and also sang in the choir.
Survivors include two Daughters – Ann (Kent) Lobsiger of Nashville, IN and Jo Ellen (Chuck) Nading of Westfield, IN; Son –Mark (Iana) Gorbett of Maryland; one Sister – Jalna Kellam; Six Grandchildren – Michael (Amanda) and Jonathan Hunter, Amanda and Sarah Nading, and Alec and Nicholas Gorbett; and two Great Grandchildren – Anabell and Luke Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Jeffery Gorbett and one brother Rigney Osterling.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 11AM until the start of the Funeral Service 1PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church or to Our Hospice of Decatur County.
