Anthony Gene Sneed, 57, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Columbus, Indiana. Born on August 31, 1967, in Indianapolis, he was the beloved son of the late Arnie Sneed and Patricia Sue (Profitt) Stearns.
Anthony graduated from Greensburg High School in 1986. He forged a meaningful career, first as a production associate at Honda and later as a forklift driver at MPW—approaching each day with dedication, a strong work ethic, and a readiness to lend a helping hand.
On March 20, 2017, Anthony married Sandra Marie (Niese) Sneed, his devoted partner and love of his life. Together, they built a warm and loving home, surrounded by children and grandchildren.
Anthony was a proud and loving father to Kelsey (Mitch) Baumer, Kayle Brumfiel, Shaye Sneed, Krystin “Sheyenne” Sneed, Rachel Barnes, Derrick Barnes, John Barnes, and Greg Barnes.
He was thrilled to watch his joy expand as a grandfather to Trenton, Mila, Lincoln, Waylon, Jensen, Bostyn and Ryan. His cats Jack, Dakota and Luna held a special place in his heart as well.
Anthony is also survived by his brothers, Pat Keith and Jimmy Keith, as well as many nieces and nephews who will deeply miss his presence.
A consummate family man, Anthony treasured holidays, small get-togethers, and cheering on his loved ones in their pursuits. Whether capturing moments with his children and grandchildren, sharing a laugh over barbecue, or quietly offering help behind the scenes, he made every moment count.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Sheila Brown.
A memorial service will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral home on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jerry Downey officiating. Visitation will follow from 3:00-6:00 pm.
