Betty Lou Bausback Roberts

Betty Lou Roberts, 85 Batesville, IN formerly of Greensburg, passed away Sunday December 2, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1927 in Decatur County, Indiana the daughter of George William and Ola May (Alexander) Bausback. She was a 1945 graduate of Greensburg High School. She was part Owner, Secretary and Treasurer of Standard Fertilizer for many years. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Sunman, IN., as well as a founding member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Greensburg. She married Wilbur Roberts August 27, 1945 in Auburn, IN., and he survives at the home.

Besides her husband Wilbur, Betty is survived by one Daughter: Bonnie Holzbacher of Batesville, IN.; one Son: Sheldon (Dianna) Roberts of Greensburg, IN.; one Sister: Dorothy (Eddie) Howard of Greensburg, IN., two Sister-in-Laws: Esther Bausback, and Ruby Roberts. Five Grandchildren: Teresa Holzbacher-Heilman, Tammy Fancher, Sheldon “Joey” Roberts Jr., Kristie Roberts, and Shannon Nugent; nine Great Granchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, three Brothers: Omer, Francis, and Emerson “Gene” Bausback; one Sister: Delores Joyner.

Friends may call at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 9:30AM until the time of service 11:30AM. Burial will follow in the South Park Cemetery.
