Betty Joan Hoffman Tower

Betty Joan Tower, 88, of Greensburg, passed away on October 4, 2014. She was born on February 15, 1926, in Milroy, Indiana, the daughter of Fred and Emma Hoffman. On August 31, 1943 she married John Tower and he preceded her in death in 1991. Betty worked at Bohn Aluminum for 20 years before she retired. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Son- Robert (Claudia) Tower of Columbus, Susan (Gordon) McLaughlin of Greensburg, and Diane Swinsen of Oklahoma, Grandchildren- Lori (Shawn) Crawley, Tony (Jill) McLaughlin, Craig Tower, Dina (Dan) Walls, Great Grandchildren- Victoria Crawley, Austin Crawley, Sarah Tower, and Tucker Tower. She was preceded in death by her: Parents, Husband, Brother- William Hoffman, Half Brother- Lawrence Wolf, Half Sisters- Irene Fromer and Opal Bear.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home. Dr. Robb Barlow will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery.
