Years ago Carol sent me to Cincinnati to the National Bible Bowl office to pick up some supplies for her kids and the beginner bowl team. She asked for several texts, once used cards and twice used cards for her family. I honored her request but while waiting for Josiah Gorman to fill the order I was feeling bad for the children that she ordered once used and twice used cards for. Surely if I gave him a few more dollars those children could have new cards and not used ones or heaven forbid twice cards. I learned a lot since then about bible bowl.

I loved getting to know Carol during the time I started my grad school work at CCU. I was also the head resident of Rhine Hall and lived in the apartment which came with the job. Carol was able to stay in my spare bedroom when she was doing her grad classes. She made her family pancake recipe one time for breakfast. I still have her pancake recipe!! I also remember her cheery laugh! God be with you til we meet again!

My daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robin Smith, were at our house when they heard about Carol. It was shocking, devastating news and my heart grieved with them. I remember meeting Carol and your precious family at several of the National Bible Bowl competitions. My husband, Ken, and I are praying for all the family. Our Father God will carry you through this difficult journey. May you find comfort in knowing you will be reunited.

I have nothing but great memories of both of you from the days at NCC, unfortunately our pathes haven't crossed often since. I just found out about Carol this evening and want you to know you're in my prayers.

To ALL of Carol's family: Because of your trust in the Lord, I know that God will comfort your hearts as you go through this time. There is no doubt He will provide what you need hour by hour because she was His child here on earth and is now rejoicing in His presence.
P.S. I am sooo thankful for the memories of those 4 years with the Schwarz family there in Palmer / my first ministry. Carol would have been about 8 yrs. old when we went there. How I do thank God for the those four years there and for the wonderful example of servant hearts that I saw in you, Cleon and Lila!
Love and prayers! Don

I don't know how to say how this lady will be missed, in so many ways we will miss her. Memories are so many. when our garden starts yielding so much produce what will we do with, I could always call Carol and she would find a use or knew who could. When I could not figure out exactly how a song was to be played I could always call Carol. She played while I lead singing for a revival at our church, we worked so good together and the week went by so quickly. We had so much fun, she commented "I know just what and how you are going to do a song, we are naturals at this." Heaven has gained a beautiful voice for the heavenly choir. I could vision the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and all the angels in heaven putting their arms around her and rejoicing.

I didn’t have the chance to meet Mrs. Jackson except for a few times, however I went to school with her daughter Lareesa and we graduated together at CCU; she is still one of my closest friends. I would hear stories about their mom and how deeply impactful she was to her children. I always told Lareesa she was something so special and I see where she got it from. My prayers are with you and the family! We love you Lareesa!

Sadly, I never had the chance to meet Carol, but knowing her remarkable daughters Lareesa and Neshana and hearing them talk about her allowed me a glimpse of this special woman, wife and mother.
I was deeply saddened to hear about this family's loss and my prayers and thoughts are with them at this time. May you all know the deep and comforting peace of God during this time.

Carol is a woman who inspires me to be better. I don’t mean to imply that she herself is perfect, but that as she strives to be more like Christ. Without saying a word, she guides those around her to do the same. Specifically, Carol inspires me as a mom to teach and to create for and with my family.
I remember randomly running into her at a fabric store. She was excited to see me and to encourage me in the projects I had in mind.
I know Carol as a helpmeet for the man who joined my husband and me in covenant with each other and with God. They show up at surgeries and funerals ready to give sincere comfort.
Her fruit is all the proof I need to know what words she hears from God: Well Done!
