Christopher Daniel Blankenship

Christopher Daniel Blankenship, 28, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on September 5, 2025, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Daniel Blankenship and Jamie Devers Blankenship.

Christopher will be remembered by his wife, Brianna Lane Blankenship; his parents, Daniel (Stephanie) Blankenship and Jamie Blankenship; his children, Melody Renea Blankenship, Kenadee Loretta Blankenship, and Liam Daniel Blankenship; his siblings, Matthew (Chelsea) Ferguson, Donovan Ferguson, Synthia Ferguson, Lucas Blankenship, Timothy (Morgen) Wolford and Kayde Blankenship; and his grandmothers, Kaye Blankenship and Vernie Backus; father in law, Matthew Crowell; mother in law, Marsha Pratt; step-father, Cris Daws; siblings in law, Emilee (Justin) Jones, Derek Crowell, Arrin (Kendra) Crowell, and Kevin Crowell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jesse James Blankenship, Jr.

Known for his kind, funny, quiet, and generous spirit, Christopher touched the lives of many. He had a deep love for music and cherished time spent with his family. He worked with Kuhn Lawncare, where he enjoyed working alongside his dad. Christopher loved guns, tattoos and his children.

A memorial service will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on September 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Bill Horner will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Van Pelt Cemetery in Waldron, Indiana. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
