David Wayne Wright, 68, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1956 to Robert and Nova Wright. Dave was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and worked at Bond Aluminum for over 25 years, M & S Precision Machine Company and Valeo. He enjoyed watching his children play sports and was an avid fan of I.U., the Reds and the Bears. Dave played in various Greensburg Golf, Basketball and Softball leagues through the years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed cutting wood, trapping, fishing and setting turtle lines. There isn’t a pond in Decatur County he didn’t know about.
Dave will be remembered for his quick wit, dry humor and big heart.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Jacob) Amberger; grandson, Caleb Wright (Allyssa); granddaughter, Norah Amberger; great granddaughter, Paisley Wright; brother, Roger Wright; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Nova and his son, Jeff Wright.
A graveside service will be held on his birthday, Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:30 am at the Layton Cemetery, 10681 S. County Road 100 W., Milroy, Indiana 46156.
