
Donald H. Eubank, 79 of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. Don was born on January 16, 1934 in Greensburg. He was the son of Robert and Ida Jean Hacker-Eubank. On November 9, 1958 he married Gail Joan Davis in Westport, Indiana and she survives.
Don was a 1953 graduate of Greensburg High School as well as a graduate of the Indiana Barber College. At the age of 13, Don worked as a shoe shine boy at the Broadway Barber Shop and upon graduation from Barber College he worked there for Ben Licking for 18 years. He then later worked at the Bill Strasburger’s Barber Shop in the Taylor Hotel for 19 years, and then owned the Eubank Barber Shop on North Broadway Street from 1990 until his retirement in 2004. Don was a member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg.
Survivors include his wife Gail Joan, their daughter Janet Eubank of Greensburg, one brother Fred (Lyda) Eubank of Starksville, Mississippi, one brother-in-law Calvin Davis of Greensburg, one niece and three great nieces. Don was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 26 from 12PM until the time of the funeral service 2PM all at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or First Christian Church of Greensburg.
