I met Dorothy when I worked with Fred at the Greensburg Daily News in the late 1960. She was a wonderful woman, warm and cheerful and adored by Fred. She was also his favorite square dance partner. Mona, Mark and Vince...I am sorry your mom will no longer be in your life. Take comfort that she was with you for so many years.

While I remember Dorothy as a lovely person, I really got to know Fred during his days as a reporter at the Greensburg Daily News. Fred was a terrific guy with a quiet but always friendly nature.

Together, Dorothy and Fred made a great couple.

My most sincere condolences go out to their children and all family members.

When Fred and Dorothy were first married, they lived upstairs at my Grandmother Lowe’s home . Fred worked at the Daily News. Fred and Dorothy were such wonderful people. Dorothy was so kind and always seemed filled with a very special light. My sympathy, prayer, and love are with Mona , Vince, and Mark and all of Dorothy’s friends. She will be greatly missed.

I didn't personally know Dorothy, but from what I learned of her while researching for her 75 year Memory Booklet last year, I feel I would have liked her. I hope she received it and was able to enjoy it. Last year, 2020 was her 75th year as a Union Alumni, and although we did not hold our annual banquet last year, she was recognized as one of the last surviving members of her Class of 1945. On behalf of the Union Alumni Association, I want to extend our condolences to the family, friends and classmates on the passing of Dorothy. Rest in peace, Dorothy - you will be remembered.
