Elsie Rose Huegel King

Elsie Rose King, 84, of Greensburg passed away on May 28, 2011 at the Select Specialty Hospital of Beech Grove. She was born on March 17, 1927 in Greensburg, IN, the daughter of Anthony Huegel and Irene Dotson. Elsie was a 1946 graduate of Greensburg High School. She married her High School Sweetheart Edward King on February 15, 1947. Elsie worked as a Nurses Aid at Decatur County Memorial Hospital until she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg.

Survivors include: Husband- Edward King, Daughter-Connie (Ron) Fleetwood, Sons- Joe (Marsha Ryle) King, Mike (Diane) King, Sisters- Jeanne Beach, Nellie Smith, Half Sisters- Florence Pollman, Joanne Burcham, Half Brother- John Huegel, Grandchildren- Rebecca Hession, Jesse King, Jim King, Dana Wilson, Daniel Struehrenberg, Jeremiah King, Tyler King, 9 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents and her Brother- Kenneth Huegel.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Mark Vice will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Rossburg Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Greensburg Fraternal Order of Police-Shop for a Cop.
