Obituary of George B. Bayless
George B. Bayless, 92, of Greensburg, formerly of North Madison, Indiana, passed away on August 1, 2021. He was born on January 5, 1929 in Jefferson County, Indiana the son of George W. and Kathryn Sarver Bayless. George was a 1947 graduate of Clarksburg High School and a 1951 graduate of Purdue University. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Survivors include: Niece, Nancy Barker; Great Nieces, Emily Kennedy, Nicole Manhart, Kathryn Haston, and Corinne Barker; Great Nephews, Charles Allen and Dennis Barker; and nine Great Great Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Sister, Roberta Denny; and Niece, Anne Allen. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The Funeral will be Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Kingston Presbyterian Church, at 10:00 am. Pastor Shannon Burford will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Monroe Cemetery, in Madison, Indiana. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army or to the Kingston Presbyterian Church.
