
Glenn “Jack” D. Stewart 93 of Greensburg, IN. passed away Friday March 23, 2012 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home Greensburg. He was born June 16, 1918 in Decatur County, IN. the son of Fred C. and Mildred (Hart) Stewart. Jack was a member of the Eagles Aerie 927 of Greensburg, and a member of the New Point Christian Church in New Point, IN. He graduated from New point high School in 1936. He worked at L.P. Cavett Co. in Cincinnati, OH, as a Mechanic, Truck Driver and Foreman, worked for the Decatur County Highway Department where he was Superintendant until his retirement in 1987. He married Luella (Nunn) Stewart on August 29, 1939 in Kentucky and she preceded him in death August 16, 1975. He then married Ruth E. (Larrison) Stewart in May of 1976 in Fort Myers, Florida and she survives.
Other survivors include three daughters: Jean Geis of Indianapolis, IN. Carol Rathburn of Greensburg, IN. and Jacquelyn Keith of Florida; one son: Robert E. Stewart of Battle Ground, IN.; two Step sons: David and Greg Picker: 9 Grandchildren: Gary Keith, Leisa Geis, Michelle Burkhart, Doug Geis, Angela Black, Alexa Adams, Teresa Morrow, Matthew Stewart and Erica Heitke; two Step Grandchildren: Darren and Christina Picker; 15 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, first Wife Luella, two Brothers: Marshall and Edward Stewart and two Sisters: Edith Littler, and Hazel Sarringhaus.
Friends may call at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday March 28, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday March 29, 2012 at 10:00am at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rossburg Cemetery New Point, IN.
