

Harold Wayne Hamilton, 89, of Greensburg passed away due to several health problems, at Heritage House, on August 30, 2016. He was born on February 13, 1927 in Decatur County the son of Herbert and Thelma (Rosenberry) Hamilton. Harold was a graduate of Clarksburg High School. He was a Corporal in the United State Army serving in the Korean War; Army Sixth Division guarding the 38th Parallel Line, the temperatures were -60 degrees to -100 degrees below zero. Harold married Henrietta Bray on September 24, 1949 and she preceded him in death on March 3, 2004. Harold was a farmer his whole life; he had also worked at D& M in Connersville, retiring in 1989. Harold’s favorite job was mowing grass; everyone always saw Harold mowing.
Harold leaves his Sons- Jim Hamilton and Chopper Hamilton both of Greensburg and a loved Granddaughter- Nancy (Bruce) Fallin of Jackson, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by: his Parents, Wife, Son- Gary Hamilton, Daughter in Law- Debra Hamilton, and Brother- Robert Dale Hamilton.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 am Rev. Jerran Jackson will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Kingston Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
