James A. Tatman, 75, of Greensburg passed away on August, 20, 2025. Born August 17, 1950, in Greensburg, Indiana, James was the son of Harold (Taft) and Edna (Mantooth) Tatman. He was a 1968 graduate of Burney High School. James proudly served in the US Armed Forces. On June 17, 1988, he married Faye (Johnson) Tatman. James is survived by his partner of 44 years. He is the proud father of daughter, Shelly Toan Tatman; son, Shawn James Tatman; step-sons, Duane Anthony Ralston, Brian Christopher Ralston and Jason Matthew Ralston. James is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Ken) Hornbeck, Mary (Joe) Sage; brother, Gerald Tatman; and several nieces and nephews.
James was a person who valued time with family and friends and lived with quiet passion. Whether he was admiring the craftsmanship of vintage cars, cheering on his beloved Indianapolis Colts, or casting a line into his favorite fishing spot, James brought a sense of humor and joy to those around him. His evenings were spent on the deck with music playing.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and three brothers, Jack Tatman, David Tatman and Tim Tatman.
