Jessie B Peterson

Jessie B. Peterson, 98 of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg. Jessie was born on June 23, 1914 in London, KY. She was the Daughter of Austin and Ella Yaden. She married Thearn Peterson in London, KY on July 11, 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1977.

Jessie worked for Hillenbrand in Batesville for several years and as a Homemaker for most of her life.

Survivors include four daughters- Pauline Napier of New Point, Josephine “Jackie” (James) Lilly of Indianapolis, Tishalene Rosale Stegner of New Point, and Janice (Larry) Wilson of Greensburg; one son- Ernie Peterson of New Point; one sister- Ruby Wyatt of Hamilton, OH; 30 grandchildren, 50 great grand children, and 22 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thearn, three sons- Thomas, James and Eugene Peterson, three sisters- Ola and Nannie Sherman and Mattie Wyatt, and eight brothers- Homer, Roscoe, Pearl, Ed, Joe, Eliga Prock, and Bradley Yaden.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 18 from 11AM until the time of the funeral service 1PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Rossburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
