He was born on October 22, 1974, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Kathy (Gommel) Taylor. Josh was a proud graduate of Greensburg High School, Class of 1993, and built a successful career as an assistant manager at ADE Auto Dealers Exchange of Indianapolis.
Josh was known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and his ability to light up any room. Gifted in conversation and connection, he had a natural talent for sales and was always the go-to person for solid advice. More than anything, Josh was a devoted father to his sons. He was their biggest fan, spending countless hours cheering them on in every chapter of their lives.
He was also a loyal brother, a generous friend, and someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His presence brought laughter, comfort, and a deep sense of support to all who knew him.
Josh is survived by his sons; his brothers; sister-in-law; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Kathy Taylor and his nieces, Jerica Linville and Charlie Taylor-Price.
Family and friends are invited to help celebrate in true Josh fashion, with one last car auction-styled memorial service on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Following you are invited to enjoy memories with family and friends in a reception styled visitation and tailgate until 7:00 pm on the parking lot. The best conversations and memories happen around an engine, so if you have a flashy car, bring it, pop the hood, and show off in honor of Josh.
