Karl F. Walker

Karl F. Walker, 84 of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. Karl was born on November 10, 1934 in Greensburg, the son of Sheldon and Mildred (Rolfes) Walker. He was a 1952 graduate of Greensburg High School. After high school he attended Hanover College, graduating from there in 1956. Later that same year, on November 17, 1956, he married Patricia Rasdall. He finished up his schooling at Indiana University, graduating in 1959 with his Law Degree. Karl practiced Law in Decatur County for 51 years. He was partner of the Rolfes, Garvey, Walker and Robbins Firm and held four terms as Prosecuting Attorney in Decatur County. He was a member of the Kiwanis, the Greensburg Country Club, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge and the Indiana Bar Association. Karl loved to travel, golf and play cards with his buddies. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Patricia, his son – Greg (Laura) Walker of Boise, ID; his two daughters – Kimberly Kazimier of Fortville, IN and Kelly (David) Oakley of Greensburg; his six grandchildren – Nicole Walker, Michael Walker, Zach Kazimier, Shane Kazimier, Greg Oakley and Erica Oakley; and four great grandchildren – Colden Oakley, Brelynn Oakley, Chloe Kazimier and Avery Kazimier. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Ann Maudlin. A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 3PM and visitation will follow from 4PM – 8PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will begin at 3PM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
