Kathryn Elizabeth Moore

Kathryn Elizabeth Moore, 84, of Greensburg passed away on October 3, 2018. She was born on June 29, 1934 in Goshen, Ohio, the daughter of Cecil and Margaret Shuman Simmons. On December 15, 1951 she married John W. Moore and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2003. Kathryn was a seamstress and had worked for Carol Cook Dress Factory in Greensburg. She later worked at James River and Print Pack before retiring. Kathryn was a former member of the Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing quilts.

Survivors include: Son- John W. Moore of Greensburg and Daughter- Deborah Schoettmer of Greensburg; Sister- Helen Philips of Greensburg; 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Son- Jerry Neal Moore; and Brother- Lawrence Simmons.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 10AM until the start of the funeral service at 11AM with Rev. Perry Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Greensburg Community Church of Nazarene Mission Fund.
