Good Morning!  So sorry to hear about your Dad, its amazing how just reading something like your post can bring back so many memories.  Your family was always so good to all of your friends.  Hugs to you and your family Teha, I hope that all the prayers from all of your friends help comfort you all during this time.

I am very sorry Teha. Your dad was a great uncle and always caring to me and my family. I always loved hearing his stories about him and my dad growing up. Your family will be in my prayers.

First of all, we are so very sorry to hear about Larry's passing.  He was a great friend to us.  We last saw him when we visited them in the new house.  We were there for your Dad when he was baptized.  We'll all see your Dad in Heaven.  We'll see you on Saturday in Greensburg.  Take care and know that we are thinking of you, Amber, and the rest of your families.

Regina remembers Uncle Larry at the swimming pool. He was always in the pool with the kids and if you were not he would come get you and throw you in. She also remembers him at the dance recitals and going to Waffle House.

Brock said he remembers Uncle Larry talking about golf while he was around him up at Teha and Chris' house. He knows he was a sports fan and would have loved to been able to play golf with him.

I often think of Uncle Larry as the "Jokester With a Heart." I can remember that he always greeted me with one of the warmest smiles, and a, "Hi, Timmy!" I loved going to Christmas and Thanksgiving because I got to see the family, but one of my favorite people to see was Uncle Larry. He just seemed the life of the party and that's what I wanted to be. When I was in high school, I remember helping out with Amber's wedding and I got to spend some quality time with Uncle Larry. While moving in boxes of decorations to the reception hall, he just simply said, "Thanks for being here, Timmy. We appreciate it," along side the warm smile.

I have many great memories with Uncle larry. I loved the day at the Country Club when he took me on a ride in a golf cart, and showed me how fast it could go! Lol - pretty sure we were on 2 wheels! And when I would stay he would help me  get out my rollerskates and taught me to rollerskate in their basement! He wasn't even upset and it was our secret when I crashed into the shelf and knocked stuff off. His reply, Tara you ok? Me yes! Him: good, the shelf isn't but we won't tell anyone. He fixed it and it was our secret.

Playing golf with Uncle Larry was always fun. I always desperately wanted to beat him . . . It Never Happened. In this family I have many nicknames, Shaner, Shane O Mac, Shanie, etc. Uncle Larry would always greet me the same every time: "Hi Shanie Paul". You would think over time I would grow to dislike it, but Uncle Larry would always say it with such a happy yet mischievous laugh that it would ultimately always make me smile. I live my life on the premise of not having any regrets, but this is impossible to achieve because mistakes will inevitably be made at times. One thing I regret to this day is that I had a chance to take a fishing trip before I left for the Army with Uncle Larry and some of the other men in the family, I opted not to go and I have often thought about and regret that decision to this day! Uncle Larry always made everyone around him happy. He was always finding ways to give you a hard time, but he always made you feel special. I loved him very much!

Larry would ask it I would go to hair shows with him as they needed models for new hair styles. I would never go with him because my sister Connie came back from one of the shows with an Afro.   Connie is also correct about Larry helping getting vehicles out of ditches, including mine.  
Larry also loved video games and there were several hours of "frogger" played.

Many memories but many, many card games and Larry loved to win!

My favorite memory was the night Larry came to pull me out of the ditch by Levenstein's carpet... (keeping in mind he had done this very same thing exactly one week before -which was the week he taught me you had to have the car in drive and give it gas to be able to pull it out....another story ...anyway..It was about 10pm...very cold...wind was blowing..and it was pouring down rain. I knew he was gonna be mad, but Larry was ALWAYS our "go to guy" when we were in a pinch, and between Sherri and I , that was often!   He showed up with a smile - all bundled up in his coat, hat, and gloves and all he said was , "Constance Joan, you are the only girl I know that can land in both ditches at the same time!!!"

John has many of "LR Cool K"..card games , fishing trips, golfing..but his favorite is when he, Chris and Roger kept telling Camdyn that Grandpa really loved it when he put his landscape rocks in the birdbath...

The memory that pops in my head first is the gag gifts he got for Christmas and we all always wondered who it was and we didn't find out until many years later it was Chris. Another memory I have is when I was staying the summer and I thought I would help out with the laundry.  I not only faded one of his nice red shirts but I also shrunk it.

The biggiest memory of uncle Larry to me was around Christmas time. He always had to be noticed and if he was being quite it was because he was planning something to be noticed. Haha. His personality always seemed to light to room up no matter what was going on at the time and was a great guy to be around. My recent memories of him are him and I talking on Facebook chat about 2months ago and him telling me all about his plane and getting his license. I could tell he was very excited about it all. He is greatly going to be missed.

John and I are setting here sharing a hundred memories right now...laughing and crying...we are trying to narrow down to our favorite...gonna be hard...your dad was a wonderful man and we have a lot of good memories. We loved him very much!

Larry and I meet about a year ago at the Huntington Airport.  He was a fun loving man, who loves flying.  We spent a lot of time look at his plane and making modes to make it safer. So many memories..as far back as Little League and elementary school. We reconnected about 15 years ago through a Hillsdale High School website and have crossed paths many times since then. The time we were able to spend together was wonderful as Larry enjoyed life and we never wanted for things to talk about or do. I just know you are already organizing a fishing trip in heaven.
