Norma Lee Mier Mier Bainbridge

Norma Lee Mier Bainbridge, 80, of Greensburg, passed away on September 17, 2012 at Methodist Hospital. She was born on June 5, 1932 in Switzerland County, Indiana the daughter of Dewey and Callie (Hatch) Mier. Norma was a 1950 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi. Norma has served Decatur County over 20 years as the Administrator for the Solid Waste District. She was also a past Decatur County Auditor and Deputy Auditor for a combined total of 23 years. Survivors include: Children- John William Bainbridge of New Castle, IN, Michael David Bainbridge of Greensburg, IN, and Alan Craig Bainbridge of Kirklin, IN, Grandchildren- Shawn (Alyson) Bainbridge of Greensburg, IN, Christy (Rusty) Cooper of Clearwater, FL, and Allison Bainbridge of New Castle, IN, Great Grandchildren- Chelsea, Brianna, Damian, Kyran, Kaidyn, and Adelle. Norma was preceded in death by: her Husband- J. David Bainbridge and her Parents. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greensburg United Methodist Church, 301 North Broadway Street, Greensburg, Indiana 47240. Rev. Greg Pimlott will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the United Methodist Church.
