

Norma Jean Wilmer Baker, 84, of Greensburg passed away on July 10, 2015. She was born on December 18, 1930 in Columbus, Indiana the daughter of Andrew and Emma Grace DeSpain. Norma married Charles R. Wilmer and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1968. A few months earlier she lost her son Michael R. Bailey on July 5, 1968. Norma loved her family and spending time with them. She was a wonderful example of what a Mother should be. On October 11, 1974 Norma married Ron Baker and he also preceded her in death. She worked at BCA for over 26 years and Federal Mogul until she retired.
Survivors include: Daughter- Patty Ortman of Greensburg; Son- Billy J. Wilmer of Greensburg; Sisters- Lilliam Mann, and Ruby Pinrose; Grandchildren- Tim Ortman, Kim Meadows, Melinda (Jim) Preuss, Brandy (Jeremy) Taylor, and Bill (Kristi) Wilmer, II; Great Grandchildren- Jordan and Austin Ortman, Christopher and Kayla Meadows, Charlie and Chase Taylor, and Paige and Serena Wilmer; Great Great Grandson- Jax Thompson. She was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husbands; Son; Sisters- Mattie Kimball, Ruth Sample, Francis Massey, Buelah Snyder, Judith Morgan, and Marie Defler; Brothers- Melvin DeSpain, Delbert DeSpain, and Ernie DeSpain.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:00 am. Rev. David Bragg will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
