Opal Dale-Pruitt, 96 of Greensburg, was born in Ashland, KY, to Harden Dale and Mima Skaggs Dale, on October 26, 1917. She was married to Clayton Pruitt for 57 years, and he lovingly cared for her during her extended illness. Opal went to heaven Thursday night, December 5, 2013.
Opal had 4 brothers and a sister who are all deceased: Ora Dale (Norma) of Waynesburg, Howard Dale (Ruth) of Connersville, Denver Dale (Ruth) of Rushville, Claud Dale (Clara) of Clarksburg, and Artha Betty Poole (George) of Rushville.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 4PM – 8PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Opal’s funeral service will begin at 11AM on Wednesday, December 11 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. In Lieu of Flowers, please contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association, Our Hospice of Decatur/Shelby Counties or to the donor’s choice of charities.
