Phyllis Kay Neville, 87 of Greensburg passed away on September 5, 2026. She was born on March 29, 1939 in Greensburg, Indiana the daughter of Edgar and Virginia (Burk) Kitchin. Phyllis was a 1957 graduate of Clarksburg High School. On June 28, 1958 she married Maurice Neville and together they had four daughters. Phyllis was the Decatur County Clerk and later worked at Crafts and Occasions before retiring. She was a member of the Clarksburg Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Phyllis enjoyed quilting, embroidery, crocheting, and making fleece blankets.
She is survived by her four daughters, Cheryl (George) Harford, Cyndy Vanderbur, Gretchen (Steve) Kinker and Heidi (Mack) Garland; eight grandchildren, Ben (Sarah) Coy, Uriah (Donna) Coy, Kaylynn (Michael) Comer, Scott (Vickie) Vanderbur, Owen (Kate) Kinker, Kurt (Kylie) Jones, Jarrod (Jessica) Jones and Katie (Brandon) Turner; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice Neville; two grandchildren, Steven and Erin Kinker; sisters, Beverly Hill and Diane Shawler; and brothers, Dick Kitchin, Larry Kitchin and Don Kitchin.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Rev. Jerran Jackson and Pastor Chuck Gerrian will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. The family will continue celebrating her life with a reception at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Our Hospice of Decatur County.
