
Richard “Dick” N. Holman, 71, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 30, at the Columbus Regional Hospital. Richard was born on June 16, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of David and Mildred Holman. He was a 1958 graduate of the South Port High School and a veteran, serving in the United States Navy. On June 21, 1975, he married Sandra K. Tompkins and she survives.
Richard worked as a truck driver for Lowes Pellets and Grain for 35 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 129 and Eagle’s Lodge of Greensburg, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife Sandra; three daughters: Debra (Christopher) George, of Columbus, Indiana; Cynthia Laing of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Lorra (Lamar) Holman-Hardin of Marietta, Georgia; two son’s: Richard Norman Holman Jr. of Holton, Indiana; and Randall (Cameron) Holman of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; one brother David G. (Donna) Holman Jr. of Greenwood, Indiana, 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father David G. Holman Sr.
A Graveside Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 11AM at the South Park Cemetery.
