We met Shane Christmas in 2005. The biggest and best Christmas party we ever had. It was also our first sister meeting. We were received with so much joy and love, just unforgettable! I remember a little Lego table where Shane often sat and built. Our son Justin played with him at this table and had fun with him. He took some building blocks from Shane and put them somewhere else but Shane put them back in the same place over and over again. Shane was different, but being different is not bad. I know that he was received in this great family with just as much love, warmth, patience and joy as we were received.
You have given Shane a good place in life.

Our fondest thoughts of Shane are the memories of things we did as a family and that he was just always there, participating in his own way, and happy to do so!

I remember Michele taking all the kids biking and Shane couldn’t ride, but loved to run and never tired, so he just ran along! I think they got some strange looks that day, but he didn’t care. There’s a pretty great message in that!

We miss just having Shane with us and will always remember how he seemed to enjoy being in everyone’s presence, even though his contributions to the group were different.

Shane, God bless your mom and dad for giving you the chance to be YOU and for sharing you with us! Rest well sweetheart. Be happy, peaceful, and free! Love, Aunt Amy and Uncle John

One memory that comes to mind is the Christmas we spent with y’all when you first got the school. I remember loving to watch Shane open his gifts. It was so wonderful to see the pure joy in his response to his gifts. His happiness was contagious.
