Sonnie Lee Snyder

Sonnie Lee Snyder, 52 of Greensburg passed away on December 15, 2014. He was born on January 11, 1962 in Greensburg, the son of Carolyn Simmons Collins. Sonnie was a 1980 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. On August 30, 1985 he married Melody A. Walterman at the First Church of God. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Sonnie was a member of the American Legion, ABATE, and the Conservation Club. Sonnie owned and operated Custom Computers and was also a roofer and tree trimmer. Sonnie loved and enjoyed riding his bike, spending time with his Grandbabies, Family, and his many Friends. Sonnie was a bright light in a dark world.

Survivors include: Wife- Melody Snyder, Daughter- Rhiannon Snyder, Grandsons- Jayden Lee Snyder and Jace Cameron Snyder, Mother-Carolyn Collins, Step Father- Chester Collins, Brother- Don Snyder, and Sisters- Pam Collins and Peggy Collins. He was preceded in death by: Son- Justin Lee Snyder, Mother-in-Law- Leona Walterman, Father-in-Law-Carl Walterman, Grandmother- Gladys McGregor and Grandfather-Archie “Bud” McGregor, Uncle- Sonnie Simmons.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 7414 E. Michigan Road, Waldron, Indiana 46182 from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 11:00 am. Rev. George Mitchell will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
